Day 27: Life is magnificent

Day 9 of my 35 Day Challenge

Life is magnificent. Today i was able to witness the most amazing sunset. It filled me with a warm feeling inside although there was an  ice cold wind blowing. And the word that popped in my head while seeing it was “magnificent”. There was no better word to describe it. I had the feeling like it was the reassuring sign to the thoughts i was having shortly before seeing it. I was thinking about The Egg by Andy Weir  and his theory about us all being one. If you believe this to be true it takes away the fear of death, the fear of not living right, the fear of missing out, the fear of choosing the wrong things, the fear of not finding your purpose. Because if it would be true it would mean that you have lived every possible life already, that you have seen and done everything already. And it gives you more freedom to do what ever you please. Simply because you can’t be wrong. Cause in the end it’s all about you growing into a bigger Intellect. I believed that we are all souls, that chose the life we are living before we were born. That my soul chose the life i live. And i was always hoping that my soul chose to live a happy life, a great life. But what if not? And that’s why i find Weir’s theory so soothing. It gives you the freedom to choose for yourself how to live your life. And the thought, that we are all one confirms a lot of the things wise people have said before.

The universe is not outside of you. Look inside yourself, everything that you want you already are. – Rumi

This for example. It makes perfect sense. Because if we are all one, then you have already been all the people you admire. You’ve got it all in you. And you truly can do anything.

He who says he can and he who says he cannot are both usually right. – Confucius

You can do anything. You just have to decide what you want. Isn’t that great? You just have to decide and focus your energy on what you want. Because you will use your energy either way. So don’t focus on the bad things, negativity or your worst nightmare. Focus on your dream.

Where focus goes energy flows. – Tony Robbins

No matter what you believe in, whatever you focus on you will get more of. That’s why everyone should practice gratitude, simply because it’s shifting your focus. If you think this is stupid, then just try it for yourself. Or watch yourself closely, you might notice that what you focus on grows.

Today i’ve also read some beautiful Rumi quotes that i would like to  share with you. Some people say bad things about Rumi, and i can’t say wether or not they are true, because i don’t know much about him. But don’t care too much about the Messenger, care about the Message. Here are some of my favorites:

Actually, your soul and mine are the same, we appear and disappear in each other.

Know that one day, your pain will become your cure.

Because the things you learn by going through rough times will help you later in life.

Be patient where you sit in the dark, the dawn is coming.

Life consists of constant ups and downs. Know that if you’re at your lowest lows it can only get better.

Stop acting so small, you are the universe in ecstatic motion.

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.

What you seek is seeking you.

Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere, they are in each other all along.

I’m really glad to be alive in a time, where you can share knowledge that easily. Where you can read and teach yourself that easily. I’m glad and grateful to be born into this part of the world at this time, where i have everything i need and i can do whatever i want. Isn’t it great to have access to all the great wise mentors that live and have ever lived, by reading about them, watching or listening to them? Even if they’re dead already or thousands of miles away?

Thanks for reading 🙂
